The Board regulates wastewater systems in Alabama to ensure that systems are properly manufactured, installed, serviced and maintained. Otherwise, there could be serious harm to the environment and to public health.

Application requirements include applicant's:

  • Business experience
  • Work experience
  • Completion of Training
  • Completion of Examinations
  • Proof of citizenship of the US, or in the US legally
  • Obtain a surety Bond
  • Surety Bond amounts are:

    $15,000 for Basic Installers, Pumpers, Manufacturers and Portable Restroom License
    $30,000 for Advanced Level I Installers and Advanced Level II Installers
